And they wouldn’t take too poorly to a prank, zip tie the driveshaft

Takes 2 minutes, and produces at least a few minutes of WTF.

Slightly longer prank that produces far more WTF; Assemble and install a driveshaft made out of zipties.

The plastic explosion, sudden loss of power, and splattering of plasti-bits all over the road will haunt them for days. “Wow, bro. I had no idea [Manufacturer] was so cheap that they’d use ziptie remains and turn them into a driveshaft. I know the [era of vehicle]’s were hard on them, but to cut corners like that? Might be time for a Honda Civic, bro.”

Doesn’t have to be RWD or 4WD. You can do this to any axleshaft.

Very true, but the rear driveshaft is easier to get to.
